K-12

A structured approach for the disorganized thinker.

Thinking Organized offers a specialized program for K–12 students who struggle with organization, planning, and academic follow-through. Our strategies are designed for students with ADHD, executive functioning weaknesses, language processing difficulties, and other diagnosed or undiagnosed learning challenges.

After an initial consultation, each student is matched with an Educational Mentor or Speech-Language Pathologist who provides one-on-one instruction in areas such as:

  • Managing materials and time
  • Studying effectively
  • Improving memory and information retrieval
  • Taking and organizing notes
  • Strengthening reading comprehension
  • Organizing ideas to produce clear written language

Students meet with their mentor at least once a week to build core Thinking Organized strategies. With consistent practice and guidance, students learn to work more independently, increase academic success, strengthen self-esteem, and become effective self-advocates.

Preparing for College

Support for juniors and seniors navigating the application process.

Thinking Organized helps college-bound students make the most of their final years of high school. Our mentors provide individualized support to guide students through each step of the college application process with clear strategies and a consistent structure.

Areas of focus may include:

  • Organizing and writing college essays
  • Managing application deadlines across multiple schools
  • Preparing for the SAT or ACT
  • Strengthening test-taking strategies
  • Organizing materials and correspondence from colleges
  • Practicing self-advocacy by contacting schools, teachers, and advisors
  • Managing academic responsibilities alongside application tasks

Our goal is to help students stay focused, reduce stress, and approach the process with confidence and clarity.
