Thinking Organized’s Summer Series runs on a weekly cycle throughout the summer beginning June 16, 2025, and ending August 29, 2025.
To schedule this summer program:
ELEMENTARY
Just Write: Elementary School is an individualized approach to improving a student’s writing. In this one-on-one series, students will learn strategies for key steps of the writing process, including pre-writing, drafting, and revising. Students will complete small writing assignments so that they can have hands-on practice utilizing these tools. Students will also learn the basics surrounding various types of writing, such as persuasive, narrative, expository, and descriptive writing.
This program can be adapted to all writing levels and is designed to help your student:
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Just Write: Middle School is an individualized approach to improving a student’s writing. In this one-on-one series, students will learn strategies to assist them in every step of the writing process, including pre-writing, researching, drafting, revising, and editing. Skills such as fluency, organization, transitions, coherence, and analysis will be targeted in each meeting so that students have hands-on practice utilizing these tools. Students will learn about and complete writing assignments surrounding various types of writing, such as persuasive, narrative, expository, and descriptive writing. Additionally, students will practice written responses to short stories in order to gain experience providing necessary background information, pulling quotes, and analyzing a specific text by relating their point back to the prompt.

HIGH SCHOOL
Just Write: High School is an individualized approach to improving a student’s writing. In this one-on-one series, students will learn strategies to assist them in every step of the writing process, including pre-writing, researching, drafting, revising, and editing. Skills such as fluency, organization, transitions, coherence, and analysis will be targeted in each meeting so that students have hands-on practice utilizing these tools. Students will learn about and complete writing assignments surrounding various types of writing, such as persuasive, narrative, expository, and descriptive writing. Additionally, students will practice written responses to short stories in order to gain experience providing necessary background information, pulling quotes, and analyzing a specific text by relating their point back to the prompt. As skill level indicates, elements of college-readiness writing can be implemented, such as academic citations and writing styles. COLLEGE
Just Write: College is an individualized approach to improving a student’s writing. Writing is a challenge at every level, and as your child prepares to brave the world of writing in college, we’d like to help!
In this one-on-one program, your child will review fundamental writing skills, including pre-writing, researching, drafting, and revising, and how to enhance these skills to meet the demands of college-level writing. Core skills such as fluency, conciseness, and analysis can also be highlighted in sessions so that students learn how to draft strong essays for any discipline in which they may write. Writing effectively in college is crucial to success, and we are here to support your child!
